The Health Hub – About Us

The Health Hub – About Us

Who We Are

The creation of The Health Hub started some two years ago when its founders, Jonathan Kennett, Lilian MacMillan and Donald and Julia Scott discovered a shared interest in starting a centre for complementary health services that would be of service to the wider community and bring access to some specialist facilities not easily accessible through other channels. The Health Hub has found an ideal home in what was the village store at the iconic Victorian era Quarriers Village which nestles between Kilmacolm and Bridge of Weir.

Meet The Team

Jonathan Kennett

Health Hub Director
Jonathan graduated in Electrical and Electronic engineering (HND/Napier 1969)
His inventive and entrepreneurial spirit led him to start a number of successful companies in engineering with a world-wide scope, giving opportunity for extensive travel and cultural experiences. This led to an interest in people and lifestyles.
In the late 90’s he was diagnosed as being pre diabetic and on learning of the disease and its predicted progression, he started looking for solutions outside of mainstream medical knowledge of the time.
This led to a wider interest in physiology and extensive reading about alternative therapies which were typically unavailable to the general public through the NHS.
Privately funded, Jonathan has researched, sourced and installed state of the art therapies at the Health Hub.
Chosen for their life saving and energy boosting benefits they are especially useful to older age groups and people with certain chronic conditions. Jonathan has training in phlebotomy, Infrared and Oxygen therapies and enjoys a holistic approach to patient solutions together with the other practitioners at the Health Hub.

With a passion for exceptional customer service and a warm, professional approach, Leigh is proud to be the Office Manager at The Health Hub. Leigh thrives on creating a welcoming environment where every client feels valued and supported on their wellness journey. Before joining the Hub, Leigh spent over seven years as the Manager of Mar Hall Spa in Bishopton, where she honed my skills in customer care, operations, and team leadership within the luxury wellness industry. Leigh’s experience has reinforced her belief in the power of holistic well-being and the importance of a personalised approach to every client’s needs. Outside of work, Leigh’s two teenage children keep her on her toes, and she cherishes the time spent with them. Diane Chalmers

Chartered Physiotherapist

Diane is our Chartered Physiotherapist here at the Health Hub. She qualified from Glasgow Caledonian University in 2011, then continued as a part time student to study a Masters degree in Physiotherapy in the musculoskeletal field. She has over a decade of experience in both the NHS and private sector.

Diane takes a holistic yet detail-orientated approach to working with the human body. Given her unique set of skills and experience, she often provides an entirely fresh perspective on her clients’ pain and movement issues. She loves to reignite people’s hope and finally offer them effective solutions to moving and feeling better again – regardless of how long they’ve had symptoms.

She often notices important things about the way people move that have been overlooked and unconsidered in the past. This is largely due to her integrating ground-breaking teachings from Anatomy in Motion (AiM) and CranioSacral Therapy (CST) – both of which view the body as it is – one whole interconnected system.

Diane has a special interest in biomechanics – how structures such as bones, joints and muscles of the whole body move and interact with each other. She has trained extensively through AiM – a unique whole body philosophy & approach which is highly effective in identifying and addressing the root cause of a problem.

Alongside AiM, Diane applies CST – a subtle, gentle hands-on therapy which allows her to identify less obvious and deep rooted restrictions in the body. Through gentle traction techniques, she can release them in a way which therapeutic movement or other treatments may not.
