This client arrived at The Health Hub with severe, long-term chronic pain and significantly reduced mobility due to osteoarthritis in both hips, knees, and the left ankle. They also experienced nightly pain that woke them 5–6 times and relied on two walking sticks for movement. Their health challenges began after major complications from diverticular surgery in 2011, which led to a long stay in intensive care.
Upon arrival, they were warmly welcomed by the reception team and introduced to Lilian, who guided them through Pulse Electromagnetic Field (PEMF) Therapy and Red Light( Theralight 360) treatment. Lilian took time to understand their medical history and adapted the treatment to support their mobility needs.
PEMF therapy was carefully targeted to the client’s hips, knees, and ankle. They found Lilian knowledgeable, attentive, and reassuring—especially when expressing concern about undergoing Red Light Therapy with a hernia mesh implant. After reassurance, they were able to relax fully during the session.
Immediate improvement in mobility: The client was able to lift their legs and march—movements they previously could not do.

The client, once an active hillwalker and climber, felt encouraged by the progress—more motivated to get out, stay active, and make healthier lifestyle choices. Previous interventions like physio, aqua exercise, and hydrotherapy helped maintain muscle strength but had never reduced the pain. This treatment offered relief they hadn’t experienced in over a decade.
