Semi-permanent make-up can be removed using non laser techniques. This is a technique which can also be used on some light tattoos – though the tattoo will be examined during a consultation to ensure that we can lift the pigment sufficiently. It can take more than one session, we recommend at least 4 as indicated by the price list, though this can be discussed at your appointment.
Scar camouflaging is akin to semi-permanent makeup, involving the tattooing of a specially mixed pigment that matches your skin tone directly onto the scar. This technique effectively integrates the scar with surrounding skin, significantly reducing its visibility. It is particularly beneficial for enhancing confidence in individuals whose self-esteem has been impacted by prominent scars.
Please note the price reflects a course of 4 treatments.
Tattoo Removal
The initial step of the salt and saline treatment resembles traditional tattooing. One of our aesthetic nurses will use a device similar to a tattoo gun to apply the salt and saline solution to the treatment area, puncturing the top layer of skin. Following this, a salt paste is applied, drawing the tattoo pigment to the surface and gently exfoliating it away.
Clients typically require three to four sessions to achieve the desired results. This method of tattoo removal is effective at lightening tattoos, though complete removal is not anticipated.
Salt and saline tattoo removal is considered safer and carries fewer risks of hypo/hyperpigmentation, blistering, and scarring compared to laser treatments. The skin can be re-tattooed once the area has fully healed.
This method offers several advantages over laser tattoo removal: it is suitable for all skin types, works naturally, does not affect hair growth in the treated area, and is effective for both old and new tattoos, regardless of whether they are amateur or professional.
Scar Camouflage
Scar camouflaging involves a professional using specialised tattooing equipment to implant pigment into the scar tissue, matching your natural skin tone. The procedure usually requires multiple sessions and the time allocated per session will be determined after a consultation.
Aftercare includes managing initial redness or swelling, and healing takes a few days to weeks. While it significantly reduces the scar’s visibility, periodic touch-ups are necessary as pigments can fade over time.
This non-invasive method improves the scar’s appearance, boosting confidence and blending it more naturally with the surrounding skin.
